Our club brings animals on campus to raise awareness about poverty and hunger, as well as to raise money to donate to families in need through our parent organization- Heifer International. Heifer International doesn't only donate animals, they also promote literacy, women's empowerment, and many more things through their "12 cornerstones".

As a club, we strive to make an impact on our community as well as on our members. Each year, we aim to participate in preparing at least one meal for Lafayette Transitional Housing, and to take a trip to a Heifer Village so our members can relate to Heifer families. This year, our goal is to make a trip to the Heifer Ranch in Arkansas!

Purdue University offers two study abroad programs that allow students to interact with an actual Heifer Village. One is a Spring Break trip to Haiti, where students think of sustainable systems to implement in specific villages. The other is a Maymester trip to Romania where students participate in a home-stay portion and have the opportinity to experience a working farm in Romania.
