Purdue Chapter
We are a smaller division of out parent organization- Heifer International. We work to support them by raising funds on campus to donate to families in need. Our parent organization can be found at http://www.heifer.org/
We often bring animals on campus to promote Heifer International, as well as to raise funds to donate, or to use within the club. We enjoy preparing meals at Lafayette Transitional Housing, and getting involved in our community in any way that we can.
Heifer International
Our parent organization, Heifer International, doesn't only give cattle to families in need. Anything from water buffalo, to alpacas, to bees, to trees are given to the families who apply to be Heifer Families! And, Heifer does not send many people to the villages in need. Instead, they train a local resident, who then trains the families within a region.
